Carers Poetry & Creative Wellbeing Workshop
Join author and lived experience carer Matthew McKenzie for a free and welcoming poetry and creative wellbeing workshop for unpaid carers at 2pm on Tuesday 3rd November at Manor House Library. Participants will use poetry and creative writing to explore the experiences of caring, including identity, wellbeing, hope, resilience, and voice.
No previous poetry or writing experience required! Matthew will lead you through simple guided exercises, opportunities to write and reflect, and the option to share your work with the group. While sharing is welcome, it is not required, and there is no pressure to read aloud.
Together, we will create a supportive community space where unpaid carers can express themselves creatively, build confidence, and connect with others through shared lived experience.
This workshop is free and all materials are provided. Booking is essential – get your tickets via Ticket Tailor.
