October Half Term Writing Camp

Are you a writer between the ages of 8-13 years old? Are you ready to write a story that hooks readers from start to finish and keeps them coming back for more like a good campfire tale? Join PhD researcher, teacher and writer Anna Dempsey for a 5-day writing camp to create one amazing story while learning how to build exciting plots, craft believable characters, write snappy dialogue, and use literary tricks that keep readers hooked.

27 Oct: Find Your Story & SHAMPOO (aka literary devices)
28 Oct: Characters We Root For and Plot, Plot, Plot
29 Oct: NO CLASS
30 Oct: Snappy, Silly Dialogue and Voice
31 Oct: 🎃Finishing Touches, Author Presentations & Costume Party🎃

Each day includes guided lessons, writing time, sharing, and feedback. By the end, you’ll have a finished story and personalised feedback to help build and widen your creative world!

Whether you’re new to writing or already a word wizard, this camp is for anyone who loves stories and wants to write their own.

Materials are included, all you need to bring is a snack & water bottle!
