“My favourite thing is the social and pro-community atmosphere.
While volunteering I get to interact interact and bond with people in a way that is much more natural than usual. I feel comfortable and welcome being here and am very grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the service and gain experience which the library offers.”

Work experience and DofE placements
Information for Students, Parents and schools
We welcome students who are enthusiastic about getting involved, so it’s important that students get in touch with us directly rather than through your parents or school. Taking responsibility for your own placement is the first step in showing you’re ready to learn, work as part of a team, and make the most of the experience.
